It's here!  The medal design finally showed up. Don't you just LOVE it?!

This is a 7K!!!!!!!!  Because us mommies do weird things everyday.  We put our lipstick on and clean house, diaper children, go to work, carpool, and then sometime late at night when everyone is asleep, we sneak out for a run.  Because we love it.

Hey guys, it's me again! I'm hosting another charity race, this time it's to bring my little sister home. She is a special needs child that is living in an orphanage in China. She is 8 years old and will age out of the orphanage soon. This is an unexpected blessing to our family. But, with this being unexpected, we are needing to raise some money to help get her home. So, I am hosting a virtual 5K and half marathon. 5K will be 20.00, and the half marathon will be 20.00. If you choose to do both then it is 35.00. We are also considering doing a Special Needs race for people/children with disabilities. There would be a special medal for this race. I thought this was a neat idea since my sister has special needs. This price will be 15.00 for this race. I didn't want to leave anyone out that might like to help. The theme of this race is April Showers. The more you run in April, the more showers you're going to need.

  

                               

I have started this blog to record the fun things in life that I hold most dear.  As a kickoff to my new blog....I am hosting a charity Christmas virtual running event.  There are a lot of needy families in our area that could use a little Christmas Spirit, and I intend to help in anyway I can.  I am hosting a 5K run/walk that is $25.00 and a half marathon also for $25.00.  You can get a $10.00 discount if you do both.  There is a different bling for each event.  These are nice, heavy metals and will be shipped to you before the end of this event.   The event starts Dec. 7, 2012 and ends Dec. 17, 2012.  It is done on the honor system.  You may complete the miles at anytime during these dates.  Please see the PayPal link on the sidebar, please indicate under comments on PayPal which of the events or both you are paying for.  Also, there is a facebook page event set up you can also follow for further details.  It is called Christy's Christmas Dash.
